Isn’t that a bit discriminate as any laptop with any battery can randomly explode? Anyone seen those blown up Macbooks? Yes, it’s true any laptop left on for extended periods of time or in the wrong place can overheat and explode! It’s not just Dell, yet they are only targeting them… Odd. Here’s an example of a dead macbook, it looks like two bullets went through it! So basically the airline wants people either to: “One is to remove your battery and move up to first or business class and power your computer via power supply. The second is to just use it on battery power, which is probably what most people are going to do anyway.”

This is just another woe to the hardcore traveler. I’d hate to be the World Wide Sales Manager or Director or any company… Flying around with terrorists trying to blow you up is a bit distrubing and well lets face it, it isn’t going to be a very enjoyable ride from now on.
